This Privacy Policy explains what happens when you use the Timelocked website.
Timelocked is a local app. The app does not require an account and does not send telemetry.
Website analytics
The website uses PostHog on EU servers to understand basic site usage.
We use analytics to learn:
- which pages are visited;
- which links or download buttons are used;
- which browsers, devices, and referrers are common;
- whether the site has errors or performance problems.
We do not use analytics to identify you personally.
No tracking cookies
The website does not use tracking cookies or local storage to identify visitors.
Analytics events are not tied to a persistent browser identifier stored on your device.
The language selector may store timelocked.locale in a cookie and local storage to remember your selected language. This is not used for analytics or tracking.
If you join the Plus waitlist, the pricing page may store timelocked.plusWaitlist.submitted in local storage to avoid showing the form again in the same browser. This is not used for analytics or tracking.
Data PostHog may receive
When the website sends an analytics event, PostHog may receive technical information such as:
- page URL;
- referrer;
- browser and device details;
- approximate location derived from network information;
- IP address and request metadata needed to receive the event.
We do not ask PostHog to collect names, email addresses, account IDs, file contents, or Timelocked app usage.
Plus waitlist
If you join the Timelocked Plus early list, we collect the email address you submit and the selected locale (en or fr).
We use this only for Timelocked Plus availability, launch, and discount updates unless you later consent to something else.
Brevo is the email and contact processor for the waitlist. Vercel hosts the site and serverless function and may process request metadata needed to receive the submission.
We do not sell waitlist email addresses. You can unsubscribe from emails or ask for deletion.
We do not send your waitlist email address to PostHog.
App versus website
The Timelocked app and the website are separate.
The app works locally. It does not upload your files, .timelocked files, encryption keys, unlock attempts, or timing choices to this website.
Website analytics only apply to use of the website.
Third-party links
The website may link to GitHub, release downloads, documentation, or other third-party resources.
Those services have their own privacy practices. Review them before using those services.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the website changes.
If payments, support tools, or other data collection are added later, this page should be updated before or when those features launch.
